What are you wearing right now? [wink-wink]
Today’s my birthday!!!
Woo-hooo!
And I’m dressed up in one of my favorite sweaters!
Roar!
Why do many of us only dress up on special occasions?
We save our “good” clothes for special days.
Why?
Do YOU do that too?
Or is it just me?
It’s not like I’m hanging around in pajamas all day, but I definitely have certain clothes... precious clothes... that I leave hanging in the closet for “special” occasions.
Interesting.
Why?
Why do we wait for a special occasion to feel our best?
Why don’t we love ourselves enough to dress up everyday?
You know that our own ‘self-love’ is totally what this is about, right?
Question:
Are you wearing pants right now?
This question used to be a joke, but now with many of us working from home full-time, it’s a valid question.
So, what are you wearing right now?
pajama bottoms?
yoga pants?
sweat pants?
sweat pants with cuffs? (Hello, 1983!)
magical butt-hugging jeans?
a beautiful silk skirt?
You don’t have to wear pants at all if you don’t want to.
I’m just suggesting that there is a direct correlation between what we wear every day and our self-care and how we feel about ourselves.
So... if you want to feel better today—whether it’s your birthday or not—dress up a little and see how much better you feel!
You will get more accomplished, have a brighter outlook on life, and be unstoppable.
